The assault caused the temporary closure of the CTA tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking area.

Two more people are now in custody in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

The arrests follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later released.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the scene. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Authorities were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The attack - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
